Adding a new theme

Is there a way to use themes formatted for WordPress from other sites? Other than the few themes given on the actual WordPress site? I’ve the upgraded version….just not sure how to add a new theme. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks!

Go to design in the dashboard to select a theme, there is something called css upgrade, and I think you can hire outside professionals to write the css for you, there are a few wordpress blogs specialising in how to improve the blogs.

Most of the themes you’ll find are for those who have downloaded the WP.org software for their self-hosted blog. You cannot use those here.

At WP.com you can use the themes offered here as they stand, or you can pay for the CSS upgrade to modify the appearance of these. If you take the CSS option, you should be aware that there is no staff support for this and very few volunteers on the forums who can help. There are some skins around that you can cut and paste into the CSS editing box. Try searching the forums here for sandbox skins and you’ll get an idea. You can always play with the free preview feature on the CSS editor if you’re not sure whether this is something you want to spend money on.

You can edit your css and upload another files, like .jpg, .swf … in same server.
Just redirect to the server there you whant…
image normaly is formated like this: <img src=”image.jpg”…/> yout just have to put the complete url <img src=”http://www.domain.com/img/image.jpg”/>

Sorry for mistakes. i´m learning english.

That doesn’t apply to WordPress.com blogs without the CSS upgrade.
