Adding a new theme

  I’m a newbie to wordpress and I’m trying to install the thesis 1.5 theme from diythemes. I tried the long version of uploading it to an ftp site and I don’t know what I’m doing so that didn’t work. But I understand in the Dashboard of WordPress there is supposed to be a button under Appearances that says “Add a Theme” but that isn’t an option in the navigation. I’ve seen videos and tutorials showing this but it doesn’t appear on the 2.8.3 version I just downloaded this morning. What am I missing?

  There is in my 2.8.3 and I believe you are in the wrong forum. This is the forum for wordpress.com blogs. I assume you are looking for the forum for wordpress.org blogs: http://wordpress.org/support/
