Adding a new user

I have invited a Viewer to a private site but since he apparently had a previous subscription, it won’t allow him to register and he can’t delete whatever is held by WordPress.
If he tries to register, it says there is already another user with that name and if he tries a reset password, it says can’t find a user by that name.
He may have had a wordpress account long ago, but the inability of the site to recognize him, prohibits him from updating his password.

It seems that this situation needs a Staff’s attention to be solved. So I’ve added a “modlook” tag to this post.

Hi there,
Can you please ask him to enter his email address (not a username) in the password reset form? Here’s a direct link to that form if you need:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If there’s an existing WordPress.com account linked to his email address, that will send him a password reset link so he can reset the password and log in again.
Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)

Hallo, I am adding wordpress.com users to my website with different editing privileges. However, on the users’ page of my dashboard, WP says these users I added are not linked to any wordpress.com profile. What???!!!??? They HAVE a WordPress profile!!! How can I solve this??? Thanks.
