  Hi there cute techie folks. Can you help me add a newsbox from a website to my new blog?

  Hi there,
  All of those who answer questions on this forum who do not have “Key Master” after their names are your fellow bloggers ie. unpaid volunteers. I’d like to help you but you haven’t given me enough information to do so. Please provide a link to the newsbox you want to post on your blog and then we can work from there. If you have the code for the “news box” then please post it between backtics ` which are found next to the number 1 on your keyboard. Posting code between backtics means the software won’t strip it out.

  Thanks for your response-I’m trying to add a Mediamatters.org newsbox to my new blog. I’m supposed to copy and paste the code but I can’t figure out where it goes!

  If your just wanting to share their news then use the RSS widget. Not 100% sure, but from what ive read in the FAQ and on the forums scripts arent allowed on the the blogs for security reasons.

  But you can add their news through the rss widget.

  Ooops! You forgot to include either the link to or the code for the mediamatters.org newsbox. As tiamatsdisciple has pointed out if the code is being stripped it’s probably javascript. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/javascript-can-i-use-that-on-my-blog/ So you can set up and rss feed for it. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/23/put-your-feed-in-your-sidebar/
