adding a "next" and "prev" link in the nextpage tag

I am using nextpage tag and it is nice, but I would like to have also “prev” and “next” link beside the page numbers. Anyone knows if it is possible?

BTW: in the meantime I managed the issue by adding some HTML by hand, but obviously it’s impractical.
It would be nice to have something like the “nextpage” tag, or a parameter to the tag itself to manage it automatically. -
Hi Daaren,
As you have discovered, the only way to really do as you are describing is to manually code some HTML for each post. We don’t have any shortcode parameters which will allow a more automated way place the links which you’re looking for.

Sure, I will indeed do so. I cannot make any promises about if or when it will get addressed, but I can at least get it in to our suggestions queue!
