Adding a page…
-
I have tried several times to add a page to my blog but it isn’t working. I also am wanting to add some buttons (is that what they are called?) that link to other sites in the sidebar. Also is there a calendar feature to add upcoming events so blog viewers know whats going on? Can anyone help with either of these things?
Thanks -
Can we start with a link to your wordpress.COM blog? And consider linking it to your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forums.

http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/04/10/links-to-bookmarks/There is no “upcoming events” calendar feature here on WP.com, although I have heard there is a way to use Google Calendar. I’m not sure how you do that though.

Raincoaster – thanks. I tried adding a page and all it did was mess up my whole blog. Oh well…thanks anyway. :)

@katiedevinandbrendan: We can’t help with that if you don’t get more specific.
On another issue: The photos you have uploaded and inserted are huge (the originals from your camera, obviously). You unnecessarily waste uploading time and storing space, also taxing browser loading for those with a slow connection. You should first make copies of the photos, edit them in an image editing application to reduce their resolution (to 72) and their size, then upload those copies.
(If you do that for the posts you’ve already published, you can then go to Manage > Media Library and delete the large originals.)
