Adding a page glossary to a specific page
-
I know that a list of posts is generated automatically in WordPress, but what I have been looking for is to have a list of pages, possibly in a hierarchic format, that resides at the side of a certain page.
Here is an example: http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_variables.asp
Similar to that site, I also intend to put scripts of code into each page and have the names of the page on the side.
But I don’t know to go about this. Do I need any specific plugin for this? -
You may accomplish your goal by adding a pages widget to a sidebar, limiting where the widget displays to a selected page with the widget’s visibility options.

Since you haven’t given a link to the site you need help with, we can’t really give you accurate answers. Please do so now, starting with http:// to make the link clickable.
We can’t add plugins to sites hosted on WordPress.com.
Here’s what you need to know about the difference between WordPress.com, where we are, and WordPress standalone. https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
