Adding a page with a link on my homepage
-
My site uses a static homepage (with sliders) using the Sydney theme. I manually added to my homepage a short excerpt from a text. I need to add the page with the full text with a link on the homepage that directs site visitors to the page with the full text. Can someone please help?!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

hi,
I don’t see your static homepage or the short text on thecreoleconnection.wordpress.com.
Can you share the url of your home page ?This support page is also helpful on creating posts and pages for your blog.

Thanks very much! Yes, I subscribed to bluehost and received the domain http://www.thecreoleconnection.com
The home page is now ‘live’ (public) there. For example, I’d like to add a link to more text on another page to ‘The primary, the most urgent requirement…’ from The Secret of Divine Civilization. -
hi,
Your website does not look like it is hosted on WordPress.com.
We’re able to help only with websites hosted on WordPress.com.To clear up any confusion, there are 2 versions of WordPress. WordPress.com is a managed environment different from using the open source WordPress installation. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two, different entities.
You might check in with your host to see if there’s an error log you could look at for more information. Or, you could look in this forum; perhaps someone there has experienced something similar:
https://wordpress.org/support/You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:

Hope this helps
