Adding a Paypal "Buy Now" Button

  Hi,

  I want to add a “Buy Now” button from Paypal to sell my book on my blog. However, when I go here all I get is the donate button
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/. Do you know where I can get the button I would like?

  You can’t: it won’t work at WordPress.com. Only the donate button works here.

  The “buy now” button will work, but you have to use the plain html version of it. It’s basically the same as the donate button, but it is a “buy now” button.

  I had it for a short while, when we had a specific item for sale on our non-profit site. I don’t know if it actually worked (though it tested out as functional) because we sold the piece in person, in our store…

  Also there was this from a staff member:
  Date: August 2, 2012 8:17:56 AM EDT

  The use of a PayPal button that’s not a Donate button isn’t actually a violation of the WordPress.com ToS.

  As long as the button is a plain HTML button it will work.

  Maybe.

  As I said, it seemed functional but it was only up for a day or two on our wp.com blog, and no one used it to buy the painting. It’s definitely not a shopping cart. So I cannot say it is really as useful as a regular paypal button / account where you can keep track of your inventory, send receipts, or anything else.
