Adding a photo to the heading

  Hi

  We would like to add our “about” photo under the “Anchorage Inn” title and move our other photos (awards, etc.) below the Blogroll, etc., so our “index” to the site is on top. But I can’t figure out any way to do this. Does anyone know if it can be done? Thanksl

  Hello there,
  The theme you chose does not have a header image and the only way you could have one is with (1) CSS editing experience and (2) by purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade.

  If you choose to keep this theme then this may or may not be helpful > Eliminating redundant About in Andreas04

  If your prefer you can choose another theme.

  The main problem with Andreas and adding image to the header area is the that gradient grey/white area you see across the top is an image so you can’t go taller without creating a whole new image for that. Then the second problem is that the background image would also have to be modified or recreated since it is designed to tie in at the sides with the header image.

  Andreas04 and 09 are a cascade of problems when it comes to modifying them. Everything you change brings up something else you have to change and in some cases after many rounds of changing more things you reach a point where the last thing you need to change can’t be changed because there is no way to do it from within the CSS.

  Is it fair to say then that you would recommend changing themes over trying to edit the CSS on this Andreas04 theme?

  @TT, yes that would be a fair statement. Andreas is a complex theme to make any real structural changes to since it requires so much image editing and recreation to change any dimensions for elements.

  Thanks so much for your help, everyone. We really like the look of this theme but will need to make a decision as to whether to keep it or go with something else; glad to have the info we needed.
