Adding a Post to a Category Page without it appearing on Home page
-
Hello all. I have created a category page on my blog, on which I intend to add posts in Greek. What I am trying to do is keep this part separate, one page (home) for English speakers and one (category page) for Greek speakers. However, when I create a new post it automatically goes on the home page as well as the category page. Is there a way around this?

There isn’t any way to exclude categories from the main posts page.
What you can do is create a static front page for your site (don’t have to create a “posts” page if you do not want one) and then list the categories, English and Greek, in the top navigation using a custom menu.

Thank you very much for your quick reply and for your suggestion. I wanted to keep the traditional look of a blog, with posts on the home page, so I opted for creating another blog instead. I have made it almost identical, apart from the language, and I’ve connected one to the other with a custom link on a menu tab.
Thanks again for your help! -
Yeah, sorry for not mentioning the second blog idea. That is typically one of the suggestions we volunteers offer as well.
Anyway, you are welcome and glad you have a solution.
