Adding a Post to a Page?

  How do I go about using ‘Pages’ to organize my posts on a WordPress hosted site?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  Here are some key support pages that you should read in order to better understand what you are trying to do:

  • Pages — https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
  • (Post) Categories — https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories
  • Custom Menus — https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
  • Set a Static “Home” Page (Front Page) — https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

  Static pages are not categories, and therefore you can not assign a post to a page as if it were a category. A category archives page is generated automatically when you assign one or more posts to a category. Links to category archives pages may be used in a Custom Menu to immediately assign any new post to various categories.

  You may not need the Static Home Page support page, but the following should have been added to above list:

  Category Pages — https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/

  What I referred to as a “category archives page” in my first post is called a category page by WordPress.com.

  Essentially the steps to take would be

  1. Assign categories to your posts.
  2. Create a custom menu that includes links to category pages.
