  Can anyone help me add a powerpoint to my blog?

  Is this the blog you are talking about http://stpatrickschoolbedford.wordpress.com/ ? If so, then you can upload powerpoint files just as you would any other media file such as an image or a PDF or a .doc file and insert a link to it in a post or page. Since WordPress does not have a powerpoint interpreter, it will not display in the blog, but people will be able to download it and view it (if they have powerpoint or a powerpoint viewer installed on their computer).
