Adding a PPS Slideshow to a post

I understand the wonderful feature of being able to add a slide show to a post.
However, I was wondering if there is the ability to add a Powerpoint slide show (PPS) presentation to a post.
Can I construct my own PPS using my own program, and then add that presentation to a post.
The most recent PPS program that I have on my PC also has the ability to add audio and video into the separate slides, and if possible, would the WordPress format support that?
Again, sorry to ask an obscure question, but now I have seen what the PPS program can do, I was interested in hopefully adding one to our posts.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

As far as I know, no there is not. WordPress would have to have or install some sort of PP viewer to do so. You can certainly upload the file and link to it from within the post and then the visitor would have the ability to download it and view it (if they had PP or a PP viewer installed on their computer).

Slide Share will host and you can embed their presentation of a PowerPoint (also works with Open Office) http://www.slideshare.net/ but that is without audio and you only see the final slide (i.e. if you have 5 lines that you step through while you narrate all 5 lines will be shown not the steps) – I have an embed on my site – Guerrilla Marketing Ideas –

You could turn your PPT into a YouTube and link to that also – there are some other ways of storing on a site and linking to them when you have audio but I have not researched that yet – I did have a narrated PPT on one site and they got out of the host a PPT business so my slide show died (was a good one on Marine Sound Signals – sucked when it stopped working just as I taught a class using that presentation)

    Thanks for the input.
I suppose I was hoping that it might work.
I like the Slideshow that WordPress has now, and I guess I might have been asking for a little too much here.

I think you can add PPS with the scribd shortcode, give it a try.

@halluke: You can, but according to the test I made on Scribd yesterday, it only shows the still frames one after the other, like on a printed copy of a PowerPoint presentation. Not sure if that’s what the OP wants.

You’re right, if that is the case then I agree with auxclass, the best way is probably to convert/screen-capture it to video and then insert that into one of your posts instead.
