Adding a 'read more' button into a widget.

    It looks silly with all the text displayed, I’d like to be able to add ‘read more’ button so the same amount of text shows under all three widgets.

    I assume you mean the three widget areas at the bottom of your site’s front page? There are set-up instructions under this section of the showcase page “Front-page widget areas” which explains how to add the “read more” link and text.
