Adding a second blog but with different domain name

Just checking if this is possible to do with a non-premium account:

I currently have one blog here, registered with the name chatsworthlady.com, which covers a range of several different subjects. What I’d like to do is to create a separate, second blog that will be for just ONE of those subjects, but I would want it to have its own (completely different) domain name. It wouldn’t be connected to my current (chatsworthlady.com) blog at all, except for a standard link in one of the pages. If possible, I’d also like the new, second blog to have the images stored in its own Media Library so as to make them easier to find if necessary; but it’s not a deal-killer if I couldn’t do that.

Am I even able to have a second blog under my existing non-premium account if the second blog has an entirely different domain name? Or would it be easier/simpler to just set the second blog up as a separate standalone account?

I suspect that having the second blog completely separate (in other words, same owner but two different accounts) would probably be easier for me to manage, though. And it would keep the Media Library contents separate, which would be a plus.

Are there any pros/cons to adding a second blog with a different domain name (assuming I could do that with a non-premium acct) versus establishing a separate new account instead?

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can have as many blogs as you want under one account. Each has a separate media library (with 3GB of storage). Perhaps you could set up a test blog to see how you like having the two together. Play around with it, go through the posting and admin tasks and see if you run into any issues.

A pro for having both blogs in one account is that you only have one login to deal with. A (possible) con is that they’ll both have the same author.
