Adding a second domain directed to a subdomain?
-
I manage a site for a friend who wants to add a new domain that takes the user to a different section of her site. Effectively it would be like two sites, but she can’t afford a whole new site package. Is it possible to have her main domain point to “domain.wordpress.com/(pages)” and her other domain point to “sub.domain.wordpress.com/(pages)”?

Hi there,
I understand you’d like to use a new domain to forward to a specific page of an existing website. To achieve this, you can consider registering a domain separately (not connected to your site) and then using domain forwarding to forward it to the specific page.
Here are the steps you can follow:
- Register a domain at this link. Make sure to register a domain only without creating a site.
- Once the domain is registered, give it some time to be ready.
- Follow the guide at the link below to set up a Domain forwarding. (If you see a message that says,
You can only forward subdomains. To forward a domain please "restore default A records."– you’ll need to wait a bit longer for the domain to configure.
Forwarding a domain or subdomain to another website or webpage URL will redirect visitors to the new content. This guide will show you how to set up domain and subdomain forwarding. About Domain Forwarding Domain forwarding is a web server function that automatically redirects visitors from one domain URL to another. You can use domain forwarding to forward a registered domain to anothHope that helps!
