Adding a second website to my account

Hi there,
Yes, you can. There’s no limit on the number of sites you can create on your account. To create a new site go to https://wordpress.com/start/

I tried to add a second website (URL bought on GoDaddy for my blog) to my WordPress account where I host a different website (my business site). Instead of keeping both sites separate, the transfer resulted in my GoDaddy blog domain becoming a reroute to my existing Word Press business site. Is it possible to host 2 websites from the SAME WordPress account and if so, can you please give detailed instructions on how so I don’t make the same mistake again? I would just create a new Word Press account to host the blog but then I would be paying double for 2 accounts, correct?

Hi, you can host two sites on the same WordPress.com account. You would need two separate sites, though, and two separate plans.
So you can start a new site here:
https://wordpress.com/start/You’ll need to choose a paid plan that suits the site, then you’ll be able to add a domain to it.
Hoping this helps!

Thanks for your quick response! Is it less expensive to bundle 2 plans on 1 account? Or will it make no difference cost wise?

It makes no difference cost-wise, but it can matter for your logistics. Each account “owns” that plan and its domain, and is responsible for renewals and what not.
If two different people should take care of renewals, or if you want it under two different bank cards, or if you want a different name associated with each site, use two accounts.
If you want the convenience of dealing with just one account, use one.
I hope this helps!
