  Is there a way to add a sidebar to the Argent theme with the Customizer?

  That theme only has footer widget areas and while I’m not saying that it’s impossible to move one of them to act as a sidebar it would be a whole lot of work especially for a responsive theme like Argent. I’m not sure where to begin!

  There are some other great portfolio themes available, what bits of Argent do you like – we might be able to track down some alternatives that include sidebars by default.

  I like the portfolio and the header image at the top but essentially that’s all I need.

  You can use the filters on the themes page to narrow down your options: like so!

  You can set up a portfolio using any theme but some of them have been designed with portfolios in mind, there’s a few examples on the portfolio support page.

  Let me know if you find another good theme – you can always add some custom CSS to tweak anything you don’t like.
