Adding a sidebar to my site
-
My site is dimeanddust.com… I am only getting started. I am using the cocoa theme but I would like to add a sidebar to it. Is this possible? How would I do it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Cocoa theme support document says that:
Cocoa includes one widget area in the header overlay and another in the footer.
So it is not possible to get usable sidebar even with CSS.
CSS can be used to style or remove the existing page elements but can’t be used the nonexistent page elements like sidebars or links.

Okay thanks for letting me know :)
Do you know then, how I could put my social media icons in the top primary menu? -
I see that your current social media icons are added as a text widget in the footer. Cocoa them support document tells me that:
…you can display Social Links in your widget areas by creating a custom Social menu and adding it to a Custom Menu widget.
1. Create a custom menu
2. Add Custom Links to it. These are the links to your social media profiles.
3. Create a Custom Menu widget.Cocoa is a premium theme so I cannot try it myself to be able to give you more specific instructions.
