Adding a “signature” automactically to each post
-
I’m sorry if the question has already been asked somewhere – please point me to the thread if it has.
On many blogs, I see that some people have a “Signature” or sign off with their names at the bottom of each post. I don’t know if it is a picture or just a text or something. Can anyone tell me if how to do this. I have a jpeg that I would like to use if it is possible. An example of one that has this is “bubblesofmylife.wordpress.com”. My blog is scrappydo.wordpress.com.
Thank you for any help.

It’s most likely a gif or png image. No there is no way to do it automatically here at wordpress.com. You would have to insert it each time, but once it is uploaded to your media library is isn’t that much trouble to insert at the end of the post.

It’s a little old-fashioned and forum-y, as since it’s your blog, everyone knows you did the posts. Also, most themes display the author and some even display the avatar, or used to.

You can do it automatically if you have the CSS upgrade. I have a post separator image that I use, but it could easily be an image of a signature if you preferred.
You would need to pay for the upgrade and know how to use CSS to make this happen, though.

Thank you very much for your suggestions….. I think the easiest for me is to pop it into my image library and add it at the end of the post. And yeah, Raincoaster, maybe it is a bit old-fashioned…. but I kinda like it :)
thanks again for your suggestions. -
If you have multiple Authors contributing posts, it would be nice to have that option to know who posted what. I think its a basic option that is way to difficult to do on wordpress. Even the google blogger has that basic function. My only complaint for now.
