Adding a simple line of code to my homepage

  I just created a wordpress website today, my sole purpose is to get it verified with my G+ page. I will be honest, I have no clue how javascript or coding or any of this stuff works, but I thought adding a link to the wordpress homepage would be simple enough.

  However, after reading a bunch of tutorials and forum posts I am still getting nowhere. It seems I need to edit my header file, but I have no idea where to find that or how to edit it.

  This is the line of code I need to add: Google+

  Any help at all would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!!

  Hi there. We can’t edit our header file as we don’t have FTP access to our blogs: http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/

  The only way to connect a Google+ page is by following the instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/connect-a-google-page-to-your-blog/ (Note you’ll need to verify your blog with Google Webmasters first.
