Adding a standard poll to every post
-
I would like to add a standard poll to (nearly) every post on my blog. My intent is that the question and answers will always be the same, but they will apply to the content of each post. So, I do *not* want the answers to be aggregated: although the question and answers are the same, each poll is a different poll.
Can I do this by creating one poll, and embedding it into every post?
Or do I need to create a new poll for every post? And if so, is there an easy way to duplicate the poll? It looks like the question text is used as the poll title: will I run into trouble if each poll has exactly the same question?
thanks!

No. You have to create a new poll for every post. I’m not familiar enough with GoDaddy to know if there are any shortcuts.

Have only done one or two polls – what if you put the text for the questions in a text file and then just do a copy and paste of the questions?

Yay! It turns out that from the polldaddy dashboard, there’s an “Action” menu for each poll, and one of the options is “Copy.” That duplicates the poll and pops you into its editor, but you don’t have to edit it, you can just create it.
The lightbox that pops up when you choose “Add poll” shows you the creation date under each poll title, so that provides one way to tell them apart.
Though I suspect that lightbox is going to get even more annoying once there are a large number of polls…
But at least what I want to do looks possible.
