Adding a subheading under blogroll that links to other stuff
-
Thanks in advance as you’ve always been so helpful in the past ;) Am trying to add a sub-category titled ‘Restaurant Reviews’ under Blogroll, so that it appears as a dropdown/link to of all the restaurant reviews I’ve written, rather than having to itemize them one at a time under Blogroll…Or, perhaps add it as a separate category on the right? I spent about 1.5 hrs trying and am failing miserably. Can you please guide me? Thanks so much! jackie

Hi there, there are a few ways you could accomplish this.
You could use the Links (aka Blogroll) feature, but you’d need to add them one at a time, as you mention.
I see that you’ve added Restaurant Reviews as a Links category, but you haven’t yet assigned any items to that category.
You can do that by unchecking Blogroll, and checking off Restaurant Reviews, as you can see here:

Another way to add a list to a sidebar is to use a Text Widget.
You could create your list of reviews in a draft post or page (don’t publish it!) using the bullet list and links buttons to create a nice list of linked bullet list items. When you’re done, click the Text tab, copy the code that’s been generated, and then paste it into your text widget.
Just let me know if you need further help!

Perfectly easy now that you’ve explained it. I did try this earlier but for some odd reason the ‘restaurant review’ side topic never showed until I followed your directions… many thanks!
