Adding a Tag

    I want to add a new post to an existing Tag. I can see the tag in a sidebar, but I can’t figure out how to link a post to that Tag.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

    Go to wordpress.com/posts and find the post you want to tag. Click “edit” under the post title to open the editing screen, then look for Categories & Tags on the left, select your tag, and save/update the post.

    Thank you. That is what I was trying to do. I have created the Tag and a Category. I tried to screenshot so you can see both. But it won’t let me paste it here.
    When I follow the directions given in your link, I see the Category and am able to click that to link the post to it. But nothing shows up for Tags501, which is the other one my instructor wants me to link my blog post to.

    So I have a Tag created. But how do I get it to show up when I edit my post, so I can link it to the Tag? Is it possible it will only allow linking to a Category or a Tag and not both?
