adding a two-step-verification for sharing buttons – german law

Hello, is it possible for the team adding for the german users of wordpress.com the wordpress-plugin which requires a two step authentification for sharing over social networks. In Germany we should use this two-steps-authentification, because the german law on data security for users made this a must have. Thx

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you very much for the quick reply and the consideration! With this supplement you will help many german users, because according to German data protection law, the previous sharing practice is illegal, and may be cited for a charge.
    Thank you!

  • Hm, I’m not sure that’s how the law is.

When you click a Twitter share button, for example, if you aren’t logged in to Twitter, Twitter asks you to log in. If you have enabled 2-factor authentication on your Twitter account, they will ask you for your second factor.

We control absolutely none of that process besides opening a window that goes to Twitter. It’s up to Twitter to offer and enforce their 2-factor authentication.
