  Can I add a Widget that is not one of the WordPress Widgets..???

  buzzcuts – thanks for the link. And consider linking your blog to your user name as explained in the sticky at the top of the forum.

  As for the question – no, you cannot add more widgets to a wordpress.COM blog other than those in your dashboard.

  Vivian is spot on: you choose your widgets from the list presented by WordPress.com.
  The most versatile of these is the text widget. It’s also the worst-named, since you can put a lot more than text in it. You *might* be able to do something close to what you’re looking for with a text widget.

  Yes, but if you search the forums and FAQ you’ll find tricks that allow you to add things into the text widgets; it all depends on what you’re after.

  what about adding an mp3 player into the text widget? Would we be able to do that?
