Adding a widget
-
I added a widget, but it does not appear on the blog. What happened to it? The blog I am trying to update is azbeemergirl.wordpress.com, and the widget is the “image” widget.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Harmonic is the theme you are using and the detailed theme descritption page is here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/harmonic/
Note that is has a slide-out sidebar and also note that too keep the mobile view minimal and clean, the designer made the decision not to display widgets on smaller screens.
In addition to that widgets have visibility settings that determine which pages they display on. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibility
Exactly what is the URL of the page you do not see the image widget displaying on please? http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/image-widget/

You are now using a different theme. See here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/duotone/

I do not see an image widget in the footer area. Duotone has a widget area down at the bottom of the page perfect for three widgets of your choice. All widgets are installed here > Appearance > Widgets

Sorry, I don’t know why it said the wrong blog in the first post. I did not type that, I typed the second one.
-
I think this is because azgsgirl.wordpress.com is set as the Primary blog on the account at Users > Personal Settings.
-
Yes, I understand that.
I tried a few more things, but it still won’t work. I will keep trying, I’m sure I will figure it out eventually.

As I still cannot see an image widget here https://azbeemergirl.wordpress.com/ in the footer area that accommodates 3 widgets I tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Solution, with Duotone theme:
There are only three widgets allowed in the footer widget area of Duotone. I tested several combinations, of from three to six widgets. Only the first three, counting from the top on the Widgets page, will display. Was able to create and display image widget, and left the size blank so that it was scaled down automatically to fit into 1/3rd of the footer area. The image widget wouldn’t display if the widget wasn’t among the first three widgets (from top).
With the Harmonic theme, about which I haven’t read the information provided in the page on the theme in the WordPress showcase, I was unable to display any widgets in several attempts.

@musicdoc1
Thanks so much for your tenacity re: themes issues. My vision issues have become a barrier to doing much testing. That is why I answer the most repetitive questions posted here day in and day out. -

I mean that it is well that we each incline toward what we are presently most capable of, and comfortable with, given our circumstances. Sorry to hear of your vision issues.
