Hello. Let me start off by saying I am very new to this stuff. My organization has wordpress version 2.8.4 and we’re looking to install a wiki. Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

Hi!
We are also wanting to add a Wiki to our WordPress.com blog (stm4me or http://www.stm4me.com).
I was wondering if there were a Widget to allow the adding of a Wiki or if we would have to find a host or something for the Wiki and then just link it back to our site.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The correct url for your blog does NOT contain www. This is the correct url http://stm4me.com/ As far as a wiki goes you will be able to find a free wiki on the net and link to it from your wordpress.com blog. However you CANNOT embed one in a wordpress.com blog.

Thanks for the info. I found a couple of Themes that modify the WordPress blog into a wiki-like structure, but I suspect they are for WP.ORG

Yes, they would be. We cannot use outside themes here at wordpress.COM. We are limited to the themes under appearance > themes.
You can aways set up a wiki somewhere else and then link to it from your blog.
