Adding a wordpress site

  I have made my account and would like to add the site that I am writing for but I cannot add it as a wordpress site. It is telling me i have to make my own. How do I add one the is owned by someone else?

  So in my account I want to be able to submit my writing to the site I am writing for but I try to create a new post it says I dont have any wordpress sites.

  It’s still not clear to me where you’d like to add the site to. If I understand correctly, you have accepted an invitation and are a contributing author (or other user role) on a site that you don’t own. Yet, not link to the site appear at your My Sites page. Is that correct? Perhaps it depends upon the user role you’ve been assigned to, but I’m just guessing. I’ll tag the topic for staff attention.

  Correction:
  “Yet, not link to the site appear at your My Sites page.” should have been “Yet no link to the site appears at your My Sites page.”

  Hi vincecammarota,

  To contribute to a site you do not own you’ll need to be a user on the site. Please have the owner follow this guide to invite you to the site:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/

  Once you have been invited the site will show up in My Sites.
