Adding active links in Footer in McKinley Theme
-
Hi,
Hope everyone in CSS Land is doing well.
Is there a way to add active links in the footer?
For example, I want my footer to read:
“All images & content © 2016 Paul Conrad Photography unless otherwised noted. For commercial and editorial use, contact Paul at ***active link to my contact form (http://www.paulconrad.photography/contact)****. “
Any thoughts or help are greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Paul, CSS doesn’t allow you to add links to the page so it’s not directly possible.
An alternative would be to reposition a text widget in your footer area but because your theme is responsive and has a dynamic, masonry grid style widget area in the footer this is really complicated.
The only compromise I can suggest is adding a text widget to your footer with a link to a contact page or the contact form shortcode.

Thank you Hallluke.
I kind figured that as I tried adding the “a href” to it. All that did was delete all the text. Thank you though.
How do you add a text widget?
