Adding additional pages to website

  Hi

  I am not sure how to add additional pages to my site without removing what i have already(Im scared I will delete it!). I want my static front page to stay but want to add tabs so that when you click on a tab it takes you to further information about that topic (opens up to another page).

  Also how do I edit the text on the front page: which reads if you feel lost… etc

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can add more pages to your site by following these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/#create-a-new-page
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/new-page-screen/

  However, the theme you are using, Edin, does not display “tabs” but hides the navigation behind that “Menu” button at the top right of your front page. You can see this at work on the demo site: https://edindemo.wordpress.com/

  If you want the additional pages to appear in “tabs” you may want to consider changing themes.

  I just noticed that you’ve posted this in the CSS Customization but I am not certain why. Adding new pages to your website is not a CSS function.

  I don’t believe you can change how the menu functions to get the new pages to appear on tabs with CSS, but I could be wrong. It’s been known to happen. :)

  Hi there, you create a custom menu and then add menu items (pages, etc.) to that menu. I would suggest looking through our Custom Menu Support Page as it explains how to create menus, add menu items, and even create submenus if you desire.

  But will that change the way the menu is displayed in this theme and add them as tabs as the OP mentions? Perhaps I am not reading the OP’s question correctly…

  @justjennifer, if you look at the Edin Showcase Page under Custom Menus, you can choose to have a classic menu instead of the one hidden behind the icon. You do that by going to Appearance > Customize > Theme Options and selecting the Classic Menu under Menu Style and then save.
