I was wondering if there’s a way to link my Google adsense account to my WordPress.com blog?

If you require other outside advertising, such as Google AdSense or similar third-party ad networks, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on advertising if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities.
