Adding an already registered .com

    I am currently using the free version of wordpress.com. I want to upgrade my blog to a .com. My domain name was registered with 1&1 but I cancelled that. I do have the authorization code for the domain from when I cancelled this. How do I upgrade my blog with wordpress and use my already registered domain?

    PS – In case you can’t tell – I am very inexperienced with blogging and websites. I was unable to keep my website updated as I wanted, but am really enjoying blogging. I will eventually want to add the capability to add a “web store” to my blog/site.

    I’m not sure how you would re-activate that domain with 1&1, but once you figure that out, you will need to purchase the domain mapping upgrade.
