Adding an EMMA sign-up field

  I’m trying to add the javascript code and css for my EMMA newsletter sign-up field to my blog. Does anyone have any idea how/where I need to go to do this? I would like it to appear in the right-hand sidebar below the categories, etc. My blog is http://blackandbluesboutique.wordpress.com/. Any help would be much appreciated!!!

  Javascript, flash, forms and iframes are not allowed here due to security concerns. Check with EMMA and see if they have a pure HTML link for signup.

  Also, HTML and any of the above cannot be put into the CSS.

  Sheesh, I forgot to mention that typically the best place for sign up stuff is in a text widget in the sidebar, or possibly a page you create. We do not have access to the underlying PHP script files for the themes here so we cannot put things directly into the templates (themes).

  .ORG blogs are pretty much wide open, which also means that any unsecure javascript or flash that you install will possibly compromise your blog.

  The thing to remember with self-hosted blogs, is you are responsible for all updates, all troubleshooting, all backups, etc. Here that is all taken care of for you.

  There is also the cost. The combined cost of hosting and the domain registration can run anywhere from $5 per month to $25 per month depending on the host, the package you buy and the amount of bandwidth you need.

  Some good hosts are listed at http://wordpress.ORG/hosting/ and personally I use the Tiny shared server package from A Small Orange which is $25 per year, which gives me 3GB of bandwidth which is good for around 10,000 page views per month. The more complex your site becomes, or the more feature rich the theme you use is, the more bandwidth it requires, so the 10k should only be used as a very general guide.

  The costs for hosting per month can of course also be much higher. I have a friend who gets around 10k hits per day and his hosting is around $100 per month.
