Adding an Entrecard to my blog

I signed up with Entrecard and want to put the widget on my sidebar. Is this allowed? The Entrecard does help with more traffic as the other members drop their cards on my site. They also pay to advertise on my site, with my permission of course. I tried to add it but all it does is show a link in my blogroll. Any help is appreciated.

The blog linked to your username is a blogspot blog. What is the url of your wordpress.com blog, please? If it is wordpress.com and not wordpress.org (self-hosted) advertising is not allowed.

If you wish to have a blog that you can sell advertising space on then you have made the wrong wordpress choice. As mentioned above you cannot advertise on a wordpress.com free hosted blog. However, you can hire a web host very inexpensively and download free blogging software from wordpress.org and advertise on it.WordPress.com and wordpress.org – the differences

Thank you all very much for your help. I like WordPress very much and would not do anything to jeopardise my blog. I will check out WordPress.org. also.
