adding an existing domain

  add my existing domain to my wordpress site. I have selected the free plan but am being told to pay $99. Is it possible to not pay to map my existing domain?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Domains are no longer available for purchase or mapping individually. They are included with WordPress.com Premium. This change has been made as we work to offer the best combination of value and performance for users while still offering a completely free product for those who do not wish to purchase any upgrades.

  A great way to go if you are not interested in WordPress.com Premium is to look into setting up a self-hosted WordPress.org site through a hosting provider such as Bluehost, GoDaddy, or Pressable.

  When did WordPress make this change? I just recently paid to have my domain mapped, but when I access the website, the WordPress extension keeps coming up.

  I’m seeing that site URL display as the mapped domain. Are you still seeing the ______.wordpress.com URL?
