Adding an image on social media posts

    Word press says sites like Facebook will scan my post for images to use, such as header images. I have a header image, it is bigger than the minimum size requirements, but Facebook won’t use it. If i make the same image a “featured image”, facebook sees it, but only then. Is there an explanation for this? very frustrating!

    Hello!

    Facebook Publicize typically selects images that are at least 200 x 200 pixels in the following order:

    • Featured image
    • The first image of a Slideshow within the post
    • The first image of a Gallery within the post
    • An image attached to the post and inserted
    • Any other image in the post (not attached but perhaps linked)
