Adding an image to header in Rowling Theme
-
I switched my theme to Rowling and would like to be able to put my header in the Rowling format. I checked out this posting on the topic: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/change-header-to-an-image-in-rowling-theme?replies=8
And tried to adjust it with no success. I tried contacting chat support, but was encouraged to find a freelancer. The person tried, but the image came out tiny, tiled and pixelated even thought it had looked fine as a header image in a previous theme. I have very little experience with CSS. I’d like to use this image: https://cynmackley.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/20170714_100709-01.jpeg

Hi there,
First I have a feeling this question belongs to the CSS or Themes areas of the Forum.
From what you say, I believe you have a WordPress.com paid Plan where you can change your CSS (?).
If that is the case, all you need to do is go to the customizer and go to the CSS area and add this snippet, all I’ve added to the code in your url sample above was the last line to avoid the repeating of the image. Also you might want to test the background-position with top instead of center as you can only see a tiny bit of area of the image.
.header-wrapper { background-image: url("https://cynmackley.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/20170714_100709-01.jpeg"); background-size: cover; background-position: center 15px; background-repeat: no-repeat; }I think this is what you were looking for? Let me know if you need more help.
