Adding an index / complete list of posts with block editor and full site editing
-
I’m in the process of revamping a site and using the new block editor and full site editing. Previously, the site’s homepage was a continuous list of posts (i.e. an index page). For the new site, I’ve created a static homepage using the block editor. However, I would still like a child page to show all my posts (complete posts, not extracts). I created what I thought was exactly this – and it seems to work in the editor view – but on the live site, it’s empty (see: https://euanritchie.org/news-2/)
I’m tearing my hair out trying to work out how to get a simple blogroll. I must be missing something super obvious. Help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I think I may have figured this out.
I reckon my mistake was starting by editing the home template in the site editor. I’ve duplicated the homepage blocks to another page, and then created a new query loop on the homepage. See: https://euanritchie.org/news/

Hi there,
I can confirm you were able to set the “Posts page” setting on our site to display the default blog posts template on https://euanritchie.org/news/
Since you have such a nice looking website already, I wanted to mention that we had a recent webinar on custom blog pages that would essentially walk you through how to create a more visually interesting news page. You can watch a recording from a recent presentation here:
Also we are offering a few webinars on custom homepages and working with the site editor that you may find useful. They are free to attend by signing up here: https://wordpress.com/webinars/
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

I will check out those videos. I will no-doubt have a few more queries as I get used t full site editing! Cheers.
