adding an RSS

  i am setting up my blog site and would like to ad an RSS button. i follow the instructions to go to the Upload tab and view all the images to select the RSS icon but the tab says there are no images uploaded. how do i upload the images to the wordpress upload tab so i can select the RSS icon and copy it to my sight??
