Adding and building site pages
-
If I choose a blank page from the theme choices so that I can begin building my site from scratch, does that mean additional pages such as blog, contact etc will have to be designed from scratch? Thanks, Steve

Hi there!
You could do it that way, yes. Just to make sure, there are two different ways to edit your site using the full site editor: site templates and posts/pages.
You can find a ton of information about each here: https://wordpress.com/support/full-site-editing/
Editing templates means you can edit the headers/footers and what you would use for a default template for each post or page (by choosing the corresponding template in the site editor).
Then, once you have those set, new posts and pages will follow those formats – then all you would need to focus on is the content of each individual post or page.
We have a recording of our Full Site Editor launch that walks you through this editor that may help as well – you can watch that here: https://wordpress.com/webinars/sneak-peek-full-site-editing/
Hope that helps you get started!
