adding and Instagram widget

I have followed all the directions on this website to add an Instagram widget on my blog and it is still not working. Does anyone have some helpful suggestions? I did Customize, then widget, then sidebar, then add a widget, then looked up Instagram, then Authorize Instagram Access. At that point it asks me to leave the page and when I do, it opens a blank webpage and nothing else happens. Agh!

Tag searches are always productive. Click the tags in the sidebar.
If you have difficulty authorising instagram read what follows.
Make sure you are logged into Instagram when doing the widget set up.
The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

This particular widget needs to be authorized using the WP admin widget page rather than the customizer. If you go to Dashboard > Appearance> Widgets from the WP Admin dashboard and authorize the widget from there, you’ll have much better luck.
