Adding another Page Navigation (Previous/Next) Field

Hello. I have a wordpress.com blog with the CSS upgrade. I realize some things are part of the theme itself and can’t be tweaked in the CSS, but it seems this is something within CSS scope, just outside my experience.

Many of my blog readers tell me that they enjoy just reading through my blog, page after page. I’d like to facilitate this. At present the “Next Page/ Previous Page” buttons are at the very bottom of my pages. I’d like to have it there, but also at the bottom of my sidebar (If a text widget could do this, that’d be grand) or even at the top of the page.

I’ve searched the forum but can only find the option of using plug-ins, which aren’t available for the .com community.

I’m using a modified version of Pool, and my blog is here: http://prairiefrogs.wordpress.com/
    Thanks for any help.

The problem is that the underlying wordpress and theme files create the actual links represented by the previous and next page links dynamically dependent on what page you are on, so there is no way to recreate them, and there isn’t really anyway to copy them to a widget either.

Thank you for the answer. That makes sense.

You are welcome. It it were a URL with a query string such as “?=next” or “?=prev” we might have been able to do something, but it was not.
