Adding another trip to my original blog

  I started my blog for a trip in 2015. I want to start another blog for 2017. How do I do this and how will readers know how to locate the 2017 blog. Many thanks.

  Hi there, what an adventure! :)

  A couple of choices:
  You could simply take up where you left off on your current site, advising your existing readers of the upcoming trip. Those existing readers will still be subscribed to the new posts.

  Another option is registering a new site (add 2017 to the name?) and then write a final post on your current site pointing your existing readers to the new site. Your existing readers would need to subscribe to the new site to receive notifications of new posts there. This would be starting from scratch.

  Is there a reason why you prefer a new site to your existing site?

  Off-topic/I’d also like to encourage you to add categories and/or tags as you document your new journey. Categories and Tags are what people search for and follow in the WordPressdotcom Reader, which will broaden your reader base.

  Thank you so much for your feedback. Not being too WordPress savvy , I will poke around on how to do tags etc. as you recommend .
