Adding art to a site title and subtitle

  I’d like to add a square graphic on the right-hand side of our website, level with the title and subtitle. Is there some way to do that? And while I have someone’s attention, is it possible to change the color of part of the title so that, say, “What” is in black and “Works” is in red? We use the 2016 theme. Thank you.

  Adding images to those areas is a bit beyond the level of customization that can be done without being able to directly modify the theme code, which requires a paid Business or eCommerce plan.

  The whole title color can be changed via CSS https://wordpress.com/support/custom-css/ but similarly without being able to directly modify the theme code to add more selectors, you can’t change the color of an individual word only.
