Adding Audio

  Why is it that when I go to upload an audio file (such as an MP3) to my WordPress.com blog post, the only available file types that are allowed are jpg, jpeg, png, gif, pdf, doc, ppt, odt, pptx, docx? None of those are audio file types!

  If you’re not going to let people upload audio files, then why have the Upload/Insert > Add Audio button (the musical note) on there at all?

  To upload audio files here, you have to have the paid space upgrade which includes audio file types. http://support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/

  Since you CAN play audio files on your blog by uploading them to a third-party file sharing site such as FileDen, that button is provided to let you link the audio player to a music file on that third-party sharing site (insert by file URL). http://support.wordpress.com/audio/
