Adding Authors
-
We have two people writing posts for our blog. How do we add our names as authors so we can directly link our names to each post? We do not individually have a WordPress blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To have different names appear as authors in the byline of your site’s posts, each person will have to sign up for their own WordPress.com username account (not necessary to sign up for a site) and then be added to the site as a Contributor, Author or Editor.
Here’s more about User Roles and adding users:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/Please read the warning about having one Administrator per site.
It helps to be logged in on WPcom when accepting the invite to be added to a site.
Once the users have been added to the site, their name should appear in the Author Module in the New Post screen when they create a new Post. If you need/want to, as Admin you can go back and assign the existing posts to the correct Author.
Another perhaps simpler way is to add a Category with the name of each author and then add it when writing a post. The downside of this is not being able to use the Author widget, although there are workarounds there as well.
Let us know if you need more help with any of that.
