adding authors

i have added authors to my new blog but theres one i cannot add, she says it is a wordpress blog.
When she tries to post it says shes not invited but she can get to the dashboard.
I try to go to her blog but i cannot log in or see comments etc.

WordPress.org blogs are self-hosted and not part of the WordPress.com network, so she will need to have a WordPress.com account.
You can try to invite her via Users -> Invite New in your blog’s Dashboard. If she does not have a WordPress.com account, she will be asked to create one.

I have tried the invite and it would not work, so i can only invite wordpress.com users. She has set up an account at .com

You can invite non-WordPress.com users, but they will be asked to create a WordPress.com account before they are added as a user to your blog.
I have looked at http://dribblingpensioner.wordpress.com/ and I don’t see any invitations sent from you. Are you inviting her to a different blog? If so, what is the URL?

Because she has a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, not a WordPress.com blog. You’ll need to register a user account specifically with her blog to comment.

Yes, so her username won’t work her. You’ll need to invite her email address, at which point she will create a WordPress.com account, then be added to your blog here as a user.
