Adding blank lines when posting via email
-
I am trying to figure out how to add additional blank lines when posting via email, as the wordpress software seems to be stripping out all of the white space. My problem is that I am doing this for a 80 year old aunt and I am trying to simplifying the process as much as I can. Her posts are of the form:

picture caption
text
poemIdeally, it would be great if I set the paragraph spacing to a certain amount, and then use blank lines to add appropriate spacing between the picture caption, text and poem, and using the paragraph spacing to get the poem lines spaced correctly, but I have not figured out a way to get multiple blank lines to appear.
As it is right now, I have used the custom CSS option, and overrode entry for p and ul, and I am using ul to set the proper spacing for the poem, but if would be really nice if I could use blank lines instead. Any ideas?
Thanks for the help.

Please provide a link to the site you are asking about, starting with http://
Perhaps even a link directly to a post that you are asking about? -
1tess, thank you for answering and apologize about not including the link, thought that the post automatically added it (since the blog was on the dropdown list).
An example is at: http://poesieoretta.wordpress.com/2009/07/15/per-walid-hussein-ospite-e-amico-2/
The original email submission was

[status draft]And when the post appeared on the blog, the extra blank line had been gobbled up. How can I preserve that blank line (mapping it to a <p> tag would be fine)? Is there a magic escape sequence that will do that for me?
Probably, a more general question is, is there any way to pass certain html tags via email posts? I noticed that certain things seem to be preserved, e.g.
- , , etc. but others are stripped.
Thank you!
Luciano
